At September 3-11, 2005, an epoch-making exhibition, named Ambient Art Project "Mo'element", was held in the Moerenuma park located in the north of Sapporo, Hokkaido. Various creators participated in this event from not only Hokkaido but also the whole country.
Let’s enjoy the art together in the park!
The "Moerenuma park" located in the north of Sapporo is a wonderful park which carried out its basic design with the globally famous engraver Isamu Noguchi. The event that exhibits sounds, lights, graphics, and art works is held in the glassed pyramid called "HIDAMARI (a sunny place)". We express the new form of art festival with the great nature of the park through music & graphical live performances, art works, and installations by the various creators in Hokkaido and other cities.
In recent years, the live performance, such as DJ/VJ is becoming common by the club culture. However, unfortunately, the opportunity to touch those events is still limited to the underground. These spaces composed by various sounds and images have the potential to be beautiful delicately, and we think that it is necessary to be opened for general.
Through this exhibition, the purpose is to find out the possibilities of the new technological art at this park, designed by Noguchi who developed public space all his life.
With new technologies, let's go through the possibility of the ambient music that Brian Eno advocated before. Please enjoy the beauty of the space unite with the music, the graphic, the art, and the architecture. |
